Again this class we lost some players to transfers but a lot more players have made contributions to the current team we have now. Here are the players that have made a contribution on the team now Micah Hyde, Brad Rogers, Keenan Davis, Jordan Cotton, Connor Boffeli, Brett Van Sloten, Dominic Alvis, Nolan McMillan, Here are the players who have tranferred or Quit for other reasons Brandon Wegher, Jake Reisen, Matt Murphy, Stephane Ngoumou, Anthony Schiavone, Martin Hopkins, Scott Covert, Shane Dibona, Dakota Getz, Joshua Brown, Again 10 players that have left for various reasons. This class hasn't been very good either only 8 players are still here making contributions to the team. So just looking at the Red Shirt Senior, Senior and Red shirt Junior class we have lost 21 players.
Here is the recruiting class for the would be juniors right now.

This class we did a lot better keeping players, and having them make contribution to the team. Here are the players have made contributions on the team. Louis Trinca Pasat, Don Shumpert, Brandon Scherff, Tanner Miller, Kevonte Martin Manley, B.J. Lowery, Christian Kirksey, CJ Fiedorwictz, Andrew Donnal, James Morris, Anthony Hitchens, Mike Hardy, Jim Poggi, Jonny Mullings So thats 14 guys that are still with the program and making contributions. The players not here right now Austin Vier, Donavon Johnson, Deandre Johnson, Austin Gray, AJ Derby, Anthony Ferguson, that's only 6 players who have left which is a whole lot better than the previous 2 years.
Here's the 2011 Class Again we haven't lost a lot of players from this class

Everyone is still with the program there will be players that transfer but the key to Iowa Football has always been getting in players and developing them. When we have lots of juniors and seniors we usually have a good football team this year we have relied on younger players and of the seniors that are playing a number of them are getting their 1st action this season. This is the reason that Iowa is having a down year this season we have lost too many players in the 2008 and 2009 Recruiting class. The last 3 Recruiting classes have been good and the players in them are making contributions to the team this season. This is not the time to fire Ferents it is a rebuilding year. This team will be much improved next season as the defense returns almost everybody but Hyde, Gaglione, and Bigach, Castillo. Other than these 4 players everybody will be back and one year older. Also our quarterback who will be new will have a better understanding of Greg Davis's scheme due to the fact of having 2 years in the offense. I think this made a big difference for the offensive players this season.
We still have 2 games left this season @ Michigan and VS Nebraska, We need to win both to make a bowl game which will definitely be a challenge. All I know is I still believe in Ferentz and his staff, the Hawkeyes will be back you can count on it. This is a bit of a read so if you have questions leave it in the comments below the blog As always GO HAWKS.
